Has anybody heard of a little non-profit organization called One Laptop per Child? One Laptop per Child is an organization that was founded in 2008 with the mission of supplying technology to the developing world. Mary Lou Jepsen, who served as the organization’s founding chief technology officer, was listed as one of the world’s most influential people by TIME magazine in 2008. One of her more notable achievements is inventing sunlight readable display technology for the laptops manufactured for One Laptop per Child. Mary Lou Jepsen is listed merely once in the Wikipedia entry for One Laptop per Child.
