changing speed of video

Using video in Premiere, I needed to find a way to slow down parts of my video clips. In order to do this choose the clip you want to slow and under the Effect Controls>>choose Time Remapping. Time Remapping is a control that lets you have variable speed and slow motion. From the Time Remapping control click on the “stopwatch” button next to the word speed.

Then you will see the velocity scale. Simply drag your mouse on the white line in the right box to get to your desired velocity. You can also choose bits of the clip you would like to slow or speed up by using keyframes. You can add more keyframes to create more changes in speed.
