How to embed videos using HTML
I wanted to embed my video directly on my website instead of only having it on a host site like YouTube, so to do this you first need to upload your video to YouTube. After having it uploaded, I used the video source and copied this into Dreamweaver:
<object style=”height: 390px; width: 640px”><param name=”movie” value=”http://www.youtube.com/v/-GTXwOP0Oks?version=3″><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”><param name=”allowScriptAccess” value=”always”>http://www.youtube.com/v/-GTXwOP0Oks?version=3</object>
You can make the video screen smaller or larger by adjusting the dimensions however; the height and width you set the player’s dimensions to should be no less than the actual dimensions that the video was saved in. Otherwise you’re downloading a bigger video than you need. If you want to play a video in a space smaller than it is, resize it in a video editor first. Now your video can be viewed directly on your website.
