Resizing Photos Using Premiere

This is a simple trick I learned when I was already half-way finished with my movie. I’m using still images in my movie and I needed to resize them so they would fit on screen. My original way was to individually resave them in Photoshop as a smaller file but this was taking up some time so I found a quicker and much easier way to do it.

First insert the picture you want to use in the Timeline. If you have multiple pictures highlight the group of them so you only have to do this once. Then right click on the images in the Timeline and select Scale to Frame Size. That’s it. No photoshop or anything! I wish I knew this when I first started using Premiere!
