Making a template in DW
One of the big suggestions given to me for my website was to incorporate a similar design and structure to each page, giving the appearance of a complete package. One easy way to do this is to create a template in DW. Using my front page (index.html), click Insert, Template Objects, make template. In doing this, you create a index.dwt document, which allows you to determine which items can be edited. You do this by highlighting areas that can be changed, then click Insert, Template Objects, Editable Region. You give the region a name for your reference only. Once you have set the parameters of the template, save the template over your original index.html doc. This embeds the necessary info to make the template usable throughout the website. Now every time you create a page, you can click File, New, Page from template (on left) and simply insert the new material.
