remove background noise in Soundbooth

To remove background noise from Soundbooth, start by clicking and dragging to select part of the track that you consider to be “background noise”. You may need to zoom in select the part you want, and only the part you want.

Open the Clean Up Audio tab
Under Noise, select Capture Noise Print
Select Noise

These are the settings that will dictate the magnitude to which the sound print will be removed from your entire audio. It is best to make smaller changes first to make sure you don’t warble the sound.

Reduction: on a scale of 0 to 100%, how aggressively do you want to remove the sound? The more aggressive, the more warbled the sound is likely to be for most average quality sound clips.

Reduce By: on a scale of 0 to 30 dB, how much do you want to reduce the volume of the sound of the sound clip throughout your track?

At this point you can preview the edited clip to make sure you have achieved the sound that you are looking for.
