titles in final cut

To make the Final Cut equivalent to a “Title” in Premiere Pro, highlight the part of the timeline you want to add the title. Clicking in the “Viewer” will reveal a black screen where the title will go. Click the drop down box with the A on it and select text and then whatever form of title you want: crawl, text, etc.. Then go into the Controls tab and put in the desired text where it says SAMPLE TEXT. You can also change all the qualities of the text like font and color. Then drag from the Viewer to the Timeline to apply the title.
