Creating Sepia-tone in Photoshop

Sometimes, a picture would just look better in an old fashion sepia-tone. It’s actually pretty easy to do in Photoshop.

The first image (another from my Digital Photography class):

After opening your image, click the New Fill/Adjustment Layer button…

…And choose Hue/Saturation.

Choose the Saturation tab, and drag it all the way to the left. This makes the image black and white.

Go back to the New Fill/Adjustment button, but this time, choose Color Balance.

When it opens, it will automatically be set to Midtones. Set the three values to 15,0,-30. Repeat with the Highlights, and you’re done.
