Adobe Flash: Getting started

Open a new document in Adobe Flash.

I decided to put do a background color to easily display my difference in objects.

To change the background of the document go to the library panel and click on stage.

Next, to draw an object (in this case a rectangle) click on the rectangle tool and draw one on top of your background.  You can also color this rectangle by manipulating the fill and stroke in the library panel as well.

Now, you are that much closer to turn your stationary object into an animation.
