The Easy Way to Find Video Gaps in Premiere Pro CS5.5
While I was viewing my rough cuts of video, I noticed I overlooked a few mistakes. One of these mistakes happened to be missing footage. The screen would go blank in some spots. Luckily, I found the simplest way to find these gaps, perhaps too late for that video.
First, in Premiere, select a track in the timeline. Then in the menu bar, select “Sequence>Go to Gap” and select either “Next in Track” or “Previous in Track,” depending on where the needle is. Once you select that, the needle will automatically go to where the gap starts and you can go fix it from there!
