Making an e-mail Link

Creating an e-mail link can be useful for when you want anyone visiting your webpage to be able to send an e-mail to you without having to type in the e-mail address. Basically, it is a shortcut for emailing. When someone clicks on your e-mail link a new window will open using the mail server associated with the user’s browser (ex. Yahoo! mail, gmail etc).

To insert an e-mail link, place the cursor on your web page. Depending on where you place your cursor, that is where the e-mail link will appear for the person visiting your site. Make sure you have a tag open ( < > ).

Click on the Insert>E-Mail Link on the toolbar above. A new window will pop up prompting you for the e-mail address you wish to use. Insert your e-mail, and then click ‘OK. Once you click ok, the e-mail should appear on dreamweaver and should be ready to be used by any user visiting your site.
