Using the Hue Slider to Change Colors

Whatever your reasoning, it is always handy to be able to change the color on your Photoshop images.  For example, let’s say you want to change the color of your lightsaber without losing any detail in the imaging.  We’re going to start with a simple blue image and change it to any variety of colors.

The first step is to select the part of the image you would like to edit.  This can be done using any of the selection tools.

The next step is to open the Hue slider window.  In order to get this open you must go to Image –> Adjustments –> Hue/Saturation or by clicking Control+U.

Now the key to changing the color is to use the slider marked “Hue” around until you reach a color you like.

You can continue to slide the bar around until you reach a desired color.

Now you know how to easily change colors on a part of an image without losing details!
