Improving Voice Quality in Soundbooth for Beginners
Adobe Soundbooth is a great program to use when dealing with audio. It comes especially handy when the audio you need is for a video, and thus, sound quality must be at the highest level possible.
For those of us who are not audio engineers or computer wizards, there is a simple way to improve the quality of your audio. However, if you’re feeling up to the task, go to Effects>Advanced>Compressor in Soundbooth, and you will have a list of options to improve your audio.
Back to the simple way; all you need to do is go to Effects> Vocal Enhancer. From here you will have your choice of male, female, and music. If the audio file you are trying to improve is the voice of a male, obviously, pick male. For females, pick female, and for a music file pick the music option; simple. Once you’ve picked the correct setting, click the Apply to File button on the bottom of the Effects panel to apply them. From here on, the effects have been applied, even though you may not be able to see them. And if you ever want to get rid of the effects you added, you can do so through the history panel in Soundbooth. Happy editing! -Chris Wetzel
