Making Video Black and White in Premier

First, open your project in Premier by clicking File> Import and than selecting your file. Next, put the clip you want into the sequence by dragging and dropping it there. Now we can start creating the black and white effect.

In the bottom left of Premier is the Effects tab. Open this, and select Video Effects> Image Control. Obviously, from here pick “Black and White.” Once you’ve done this, drag the effect directly on top of your clip in the sequence. Premier will automatically convert your footage to black and white from here. All that is left to do is render your work and save if necessary! And if you change your mind about black and white down the road, you can always get rid of it through the history panel! -Chris Wetzel
