Thermal Imaging in Photoshop
This week I took a picture at a hockey game. It was while the lights were out, so the picture itself turned out to be slightly dark. I thought it would be cool to see if there was a way to make the image infrared, like in spy movies, so I gave it a shot.
How I achieved this image was by altering the hue and saturation of the image.
Sliding the Hue all the way to the top, as well as the Saturation of the image changed the colors such that areas that were lit up were red and areas that were dark were blue, much like that of a thermal imager!
It’s fun to play around with this concept, as you can make some interesting looking color spectrum images.
