How to Compress Audio Files

I noticed that my audio files were getting rather large, almost too big for the server space.  So, I looked into a way to compress my audio files.  Luckily, it turns out that Windows has a built in feature for compressing audio! The steps were as follows:

1. Right click and open the file’s properties.

2. Click on ‘advanced’.

3. Check the box titles “Compress Contents to Save Disk Space”.

4. Click “Ok”, “Apply” and “Ok”.

The file is now slightly smaller in size.  The larger a file, the more disk space you will save!  This is valuable for freeing up some space on the server for other projects.
