Jump Menus In Dreamweaver

Spry drop down menus are great for navigation bars, but if you are looking for something with a similar effect to use for a collection of links for  tutorials or blog post you may consider adding a jump menu in order to save some space and keep them organized. In order to add a jump menu in Dreamweaver you want to go to the insert tab. Then select form and then jump menu. After doing this this menu will pop up.

Once this menu pops up you will use the “+” and “-” keys to input the text and urls you want to add to your drop menu. After you have inserted the urls push o.k to insert the menu into your website.
Code for Jump Menu:
form name=”form” id=”form”
select name=”jumpMenu” id=”jumpMenu” onchange=”MM_jumpMenu(‘parent’,this,0)”

One Response to “Jump Menus In Dreamweaver”

  1. I think this is a good idea to use on a webpage, but I’m not sure the difference between a jump menu and a drop down list. Can it be used for navigation or is it better for one set of links?
