Hard: Pg. 42, “Transduction vs. Induction” = Induction refers to the non-idealogical rules that create an ideology transduction refers to the connection between those rules.
Important: Pg. 35, “Emotion”: Emotion is the most immediate and intense reaction to any given poignant affect. It arises due to the inkling that something is fleeting, something is missing, something isn’t exactly ‘real.’
Hard: Pg. 61, “Music appropriates to its semblance.” = Music is more than sound, because it becomes representative of the emotions which it incites.
Important: Pg. 47, “Music presents a fabric of tensions.”=The tension of taking something abstract and creating something actual. Music is abstract but it inspires physical reactions.
