Priest, p 61 – “incorporeal”

Because of the nature of how music is constructed, it has the ability to dissociate from the tangible objects or conditions that led to its construction. Music has no body- when you listen to music from your laptop, you don’t think of the laptop playing the music or the laptop being the body that the music is made up of. Music appeals straight to one’s emotions without any tangible obstacles. It expresses “abstractions of felt life.”
