Add Still Text in Premiere

Step 1: Go to File>New>Text to create text. After creating a name for your text, a Text Title Window should open up.

ImageStep 2:If you go to Title>Word Wrap, this will ensure that your text stays within the frame of the video.

Step 3: You can use one of the default Title Styles along the bottom or you can create your own by using the properties in the side bar to change the font family, size, style, etc. You can also add shapes or change the direction of the font in this window as well.

Step 4: Drag your Title from your project files over the video in the place where you want the text to show up and change the duration accordingly.

Step 5: Render & play!

  1. Your blogpost is very helpful and taught me how to add text to my own video, but I think it might have been easier to follow had you included more details in Steps 4 and 5.

  2. It would be helpful if the instructional text between your images was more noticeable, like maybe if there was more space between steps and their images. It would also help if on your pictures there was something indicating the area of the screen you are referring to, like an arrow or circle.
