Adobe Audition Fade in/out

This tutorial is extremely useful for transitioning between two pieces of audio. Its also useful for introducing an audio clip, or ending an audio clip. Fades make these transitions gradual instead of sudden and loud.

1) First your going to want to line up two audio tracks which will transition into eachother.

2) Once you select a track there will be a small black box in the upper left/right hand corner. These are the fade boxes.

3) Start by taking this box and dragging it to the right. We did this for the bottom audio track which will now fade slowly in instead of abruptly at the beginning of the audio track.

5) Voila! You know how to fade audio tracks!….Don’t forget to fade out the audio track at the end of the clip to give a proper outro!
